Mental Health and Neurodivergence

Anyone can experience common mental health problems. However, neurodivergent people:

  • report significantly worse symptoms when accessing services;
  • more frequently report feeling misunderstood;
  • more commonly report feelings of isolation - Autistic people are eight times more likely to feel lonely often or always; and
  • are more than twice as likely to develop a depressive disorder.

What can I expect from your service?

You will be offered an assessment call within a few weeks to talk about what you're struggling with and decide what type of support might be helpful.

You can expect a non-judgemental approach and an open mind.

You will be able to discuss and work together with your therapist to understand what adaptations will make therapy more accessible to you.

For in-person sessions, you're welcome to bring a fidget tool for added comfort or one will be provided by our administrative staff.

We partner with Mental Health Matters to provide employment support, if needed.
